Garry Barmby:

The founder of Angling Adventures Garry Barmby was a keen fisherman from a young age. Since then Garry maintained his passion for angling to the extent that he founded the company. It then became his life! Garry was lucky enough to fish all corners of the world and when not out on site enjoying these remote and exotic locations he was in the office talking to his clients about these amazing destinations.

Garry sadly passed in 2021 and the business was put up for sale. Looking to spend less time on the water, Glenn "Watty" Watt from Barefoot Fishing Safaris saw the business as a great opportunity to have clients experience a wider variety fishing than he could ever imagine while maintaining the legacy of Garry's work.

Glenn, along with his brothers Dean and Nick, purchased the business in August 2021.

Glenn Watt:

Glenn "Watty" is one of the Northern Territories premier fishing guides and has been running Barefoot Fishing Safaris for over 10 years.

His passion for fishing runs deep and he always provides clients with an experience to remember, whether that's chasing barra during the NT runoff or saltwater fly fishing for pelagic speedsters.

Dean Watt:

Beginning his angling apprenticeship fishing for redfin on the boys home ground of Rocklands Reservoir, Dean later made the move to the Top End in order to crack the barra code and work full time as a fishing guide throughout the N.T and continuing on to a stint at Staaten River in the Gulf Of Carpentaria.

Now residing in Scotland and skippering passenger ferries, this acts as his launch pad for chasing fish throughout Europe and beyond!
