Your host and owner, Viv Thistlethwaite has lived in Darwin for over 20 years and can offer his clients a wealth of knowledge with regards to fishing and the wilderness areas of the Top End of Australia.

Services & Facilities

Operating from February through December “Swordfish” is as comfortable as you can get in such a remote part of the world. Quality furnishings, air conditioning throughout, comfortable cabins, fresh water showers, spacious internal areas and open decks, seven metre customised fishing vessels, as well as professional skipper, crew and chef.

The fully surveyed 7 metre fishing vessels have been designed to take into account the need for maximum space and comfort for both anglers, clients and the guides.

Top quality fishing tackle is provided on a “replace if lost or damaged basis”. Fly fishing clients are catered for, but must bring their own tackle.

Viv’s Sportfishing & Wilderness Safaris promote “catch and release” fishing to ensure your enjoyment into the future and beyond....but on request you can still take a small feed home!
