Silver King Lodge - Costa Rica

Silver King Lodge is located on the east coast of Costa Rica on the Rio Colorado River, in the ecologically sensitive wildlife preserve known as Barra del Colorado. This new deluxe sport fishing lodge is situated in the midst of a tropical rain forest where wildlife abounds.

Although tarpon and snook, as well as many other offshore species, can be caught year round, heavy rains during certain months make fishing more difficult and less enjoyable. SKL has decided to remain closed during July, August and December (the wettest months,) to insure our guests fish only during the most productive and more pleasant times. January through to June are popular months for fishing as well as September, October and November. The latter three, offering exceptional Giant Tarpon action with plenty of 100 lb plus fish available.

Climate: Temperature average 80°F year round, and seldom goes above the mid 80’s. Showers may occur any time. Bring rain gear. Insects are not a problem.

Clothing:
Lightweight shorts and shirts, rubber soled shoes and wide brim had. For those sensitive to the sun, consider lightweight long pants and long sleeve shirts. DAILY LAUNDRY SERVICE INCLUDED AT NO CHARGE.

Baggage: The charter flight has limited space so we request that you bring one small piece of luggage. Weight limit 25 lbs. per person. Weight limits are strictly enforced.
