Saltwater Adventures - Vanuatu

This is a holiday location the whole family can enjoy. Known mainly as a holiday and honeymooners getaway, that title seems to be quickly changing. A series of earthquakes 22 million years ago pushed up masses of earth from under the sea. Gradually as archipelago of 83 coral and volcanic islands emerged and came to be Vanuatu (meaning “rising land”). This island nation is characterised by volcanoes, mountains, tropical rainforests, black and white sand beaches, lagoons and fringing coral reefs surrounded by warm turquoise water with deep drop-offs and F.A.D.S. This place is quickly becoming a fisherman’s paradise, a must for Game Fisherman, with 3 species of Marlin, Sailfish, huge Dog Tooth and Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi and Wahoo plus great reef-fishing for Coral Trout, Red Bass and others, Vanuatu just about has it all. With such diversity, there are many fishing options, including trawling, cubing at the F.A.D.S, bottom bouncing or drifting bait over deep drop-offs for mighty Dog Tooth Tuna, all these methods are very successful.

With many sheltered bays and pristine reefs, Vanuatu is also famous for its diving and snorkelling or just relaxing and sunbaking on one of the many white-sandy beaches or deck chairs by the pool. After a few days of having your arms stretched from hooking into some of Vanuatu monsters, time out relaxing should be very inviting, even to the keenest fisherman.

Lodge: Vanuatu has many options when it comes to accommodation. There is everything from Garden Bungalows to classy hotels. Angling Adventures can put together a package to suit clients needs and desires. With many hotel options in central Port Vila, time spent transferring to and from your accommodation to the marina is kept to a minimum. With a choice of boats on offer, again we can choose to suit clients needs putting you amongst the best fishing action possible.

Boats: First choice game vessel is game boat Escapade, which is a new 40 foot Luhrs. All tackle supplied is Shimano with line classes being from 12lb to 80lbs. “Escapade” is fully serviced with a professional skipper and crew. All are English speaking and with years of experience fishing and exploring these blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Larger vessels are available on request.
