May - October

This is an absolute 5 star Lodge. Heli fishing trips are a must. Make sure you can allow for this in your budget.
Every Magic moment at King Pacific Lodge is a newfound freedom. At this floating wilderness lodge on Princess Royal Island, British Columbia, the only deadlines are the unused rods and reels.
The lodge is much more than a fishing retreat. Guests can not only fish for many species of Salmon (including Kings), trout and Halibut, they can also kayak along the shores of cedar-forested islands, hike through the Great Bear Rainforest in search for the rare white Kermode Bear or stroll on anomalous Caribbean-style white sand beach.
A helicopter that is frequently on call opens even more possibilities such as canoeing on an unnamed alpine lake or fishing for freshwater Trout as well as wild Salmon. The lodge is fortunate enough to have whale researchers as neighbours. Killer Whales( Orcas) and Humpbacks are the predominant whale species in the area. Many guests get to view them breaching and feeding.
At day's end, the guests (maximum of 34) gather at the lodge – a floating structure that's tugged into protected Barnard Harbour each summer.
King Pacific Lodge has been recognised in magazines, newspapers and television stations across North America and Europe. Quality magazines such as Conde Nast Traveller (UK), Architectural Digest, Elle (Germany), Country Living. Town & Country ran multi-page articles, while the lodge was profiled on Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures and Rick Spencer's Northwest Outdoors.
Accolades also rolled in from Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report, which included King Pacific Lodge in his Top 20 Hideaway Gems, and Outside Magazine names the lodge one of the 10 Prefect Wilderness Lodges.
