March - December

Mainly a Barramundi destination. Lures that are lighter in colour and lures that are shallow and surface swimmers usually work well.
Bullo River Station, formally owned by famous author and T.V personality Sarah Henderson, is now owned and operated by daughter Marlee and her husband Franz.
Accessible most of the year around by a private charter flight from either Darwin or Kununurra, Bullo River Station is situated in the heart of the Eastern Kimberley Range.
This working cattle station covers an area of some 1200 square miles or ½ a million acres. The Bullo River runs completely through the property eventually meandering its way into the mighty Victoria River which makes for a spectacular boundary to this huge property.
With the remoteness of the Bullo and Victoria Rivers, clients can be offered a truly unique, beautiful and diverse experience fishing in spectacular freshwater gorges for Saratoga, Sooty Grunter and Barramundi, to huge tidal rivers prolific with species such as Barramundi, Threadfin Salmon, Mangrove Jacks and Jew Fish.
The Bullo River Station is completely isolated from road transport from the months between November and May, depending on the extent of the wet season, but remains accessible to a limited but fortunate few clients by air.
Services & Facilities
The Bullo River Homestead is nothing short of magnificent! Covering almost an acre of ground, the homestead has been built mainly from stone with huge open living areas being completely fan cooled to cope with the normal “hot” conditions that go with living in the Kimberley's. Guests are invited to eat in the extensive dining room each morning and evening in complete comfort.
A newly constructed “motel style lodge” has been built along side the homestead which comfortably sleeps 12 guests on a twin share basis. All the rooms have en-suites and are air- conditioned.
Besides the magnificent fishing that Bullo has to offer, other activities at the station are numerous. Clients can experience such activities as bull catching, helicopter mustering, crocodile catching, hunting buffalo and wild pigs, along with helicopter fishing for those more adventurous clients wanting to fish the more remote regions.
Ecologically this property is not only beautiful, but also quite unique. It is remote, diverse, and has everything from fresh water gorges to huge tidal rivers and abundant wild life.
Boats:- There are 2 standard top end boats available for fishing which comfortably fish up to 3 guests per boat with the guide.
The whole Bullo River Station experience can only be described as first class.
