Glenn McCarthy

Glenn started with Angling Adventures in 1996 on a full time basis. He has been passionate about fishing, hunting bird and wildlife since his early childhood. His love for these interests has seen him travel to many parts of the world both as a client and a representative of Angling Adventures. Glenn has also worked as a fishing guide in the Northern Territory of Australia.

Favorite fishing Spots

Having been to so many beautiful and exoctic locations around the world, Glenn has found many favorites or must return destinations.
From travelling and fishing in such countries as Egypt for the mighty Nile Perch, Alaska for Salmon, Peacock Bass in the Amazon, Bonefish at the remote Christmas Island, Trout in Tasmania and New Zealand and Barramundi in PNG or Australia, it is impossible to select just one favorite!

Most memorable Catch

Glenn has had many memorable catches over the years. Fishing PNG on one trip his first two Barra on his first two casts were 37 and 43lb. First Bonefish was only about 3lb, but he will never forget that first blistering run! A big Brown Trout in New Zealand....saw the "take" on a small brown nymph which took him through 3 sets of rapids and pulled the scales at 9 1/2 lbs.
