Garry Barmby

Garry has been a keen fisherman since the age of 5. Since then he has maintained his passion for angling to the extent that he founded his company, Angling Adventures Pty Ltd back in the early 80's. It is now his life!  He has been lucky enough to fish all corners of the world and when not out on site enjoying these remote and exotic locations he is in the office talking to his clients about these amazing destinations.

Favorite fishing Spots

Too many favorite spots to list....it is probably more what favorite species he prefers to catch! Basically it is any fish that is visual, whether it be a species that is sighted(hunted) before casting or a fish that is visual during the flight...ie a "jumper".  Barramundi, Bonefish, Billfish and Brown Trout rate high on the list.....Hmm, sounds like if it starts with "B" its a winner! 

Most memorable Catch

Once again too many to mention but the following must be up there!
A Barramundi that bottomed out the 60lb scales(could have exceeded 70lb?). His first Giant Tarpon that was estimated at about 130lb on 13lb(6kg) line that took 2 hours 10 minutes to catch.
A Black Marlin that he chaired for his mate that was estimated in the 1400lb range! Any Bonefish over 7lb.
All of these fish mentioned above were released!
